Kate is a passionate and professional strategic senior events manager with thirteen years' experience working in-house corporate in the legal industry delivering B2B events, her current role is at Baker McKenzie. Kate has vast experience of delivering a variety of events (conferences, forums, gala receptions, corporate hospitality, sponsorships, client entertainment, virtual events and themed and bespoke events) with a strong focus, not only on delivering excellent logistical events, but also on targeting, networking and ROI to maximise the BD opportunities via the events programme. She has a strong focus on content creation including identifying and sourcing key note speakers, identifying topical business issues to incorporate into event programmes and producing external facing communications. Kate has over eight years' experience of people management including carrying out performance management reviews, hiring and on-boarding and day-to-day managerial experience. Outside of her full-time role, Kate is a co-founder of Eventprofslive, a networking group for corporate event professionals, which provides opportunities for members to network with their peers whilst increasing their venue knowledge and developing relationships with key stakeholders within the industry at exclusive events. Kate has spoken at a number of industry events and contributes to industry thought leadership articles and blogs on a variety of topics.
